Stuff for Babies & Toddlers:

2-21-blue-spot-fun

Bow Ties for Little Guys!!!
Handcrafted by myself :)
Why let girls have all the fun? If you have any little guys in your life, please check out my online shop!

Baby Bjorn Bibs-
These are the BEST BIBS EVER for older babies & toddlers!
They are easy to keep clean (just toss in the dish washer!), they are good size, they don't stink over time (like Bumpkins bibs), and the bottom pocket is a life saver (or should I say "clean outfit saver!")! We keep one in the kitchen to use throughout the day and one in the car to take in to restaurants with us.

$25 Alternative to a high chair-
We didn't even own a high chair for our babies... This is one way to avoid spending the big bucks or giving up the space required for high chairs. Plus, high chairs usually have cloth cushions which I do NOT understand one bit! We were happy using this instead. I love that every bit of it is easy to clean (the only non-plastic part is the buckle straps, which yes those get messy too sometimes). And I love that the white tray is removable and dish washer safe. It was great w/ my first son, and I wish it had multiple white trays to switch out while the other is in the wash. My second son figured out how to pull the white tray off right away so we ended only using the blue tray with him. Some seats are hard to snap the tray part on and off... we were going to buy a different seat but pulled it out of the box at the store to try the tray and it was SO hard to get on and off. We tried this one and it was easy, so we ended up getting this seat instead and I'm glad we did. We also tossed this chair in the car to take along if we were going to someone's house- it was very handy.

Diaper Genie 2 Elite-
This is a major step up from previous diaper genie models- it's taller, it has a step pedal for hands-free operation, and it blocks out smell better.

Lullabies for the Wee Folk, Celtic Harp Music by Cynthia Lynn Douglass -
Whatever sleep music you choose for your baby, you'll end up hearing yourself about a million times over the baby monitor. We got some free sleep CD's- some w/ nice music and some that was kindof annoying. I wanted some more variety and stumbled across this CD. I LOVE it! It is beautiful!!!

Flex Loc Infant Car Seat-
This seat is top rated in safety and has the features the more expensive seats do so I see no reason to spend more! It's also a narrow infant seat, which is handy when you're trying to fit three across the back seat.

Baby Trend Sit & Stand Stroller-
This is a handy stroller when you've got two kiddos... the older one can hop on and off, and can sit or stand on the back of the stroller while the baby sits in the front. Some people even use it for three kids- since you can squish in one sitting and one standing with the baby in the front. We got ours cheap on Craig's List.

Stuff for Parents of Babies & Toddlers:

Dunstan Baby Language-
This is a DVD that teaches parents to recognize five different cries babies make, so you recognize when your baby is hungry, tired, needs burping, has lower wind, or is uncomfortable. I found it especially helpful to recognize the difference between a hunger and a non-hunger cry.

Dr. Jack Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding
& The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding-

These are my two top picks for Breastfeeding books. If you are expecting a baby, please do your research before deciding whether to formula feed or breastfeed (And don't get your breastfeeding information from a formula company!!!). Read THIS page on my site too! :)

Stuff for Parents Making Their Own Baby Food:

Mommy Made & Daddy Too- Home Cooking For a Healthy Baby & Toddler, by Martha Kimmel.-
This is THE BEST book about making your own baby food! It has simple instructions and recipes by age, as well as nutrition info and more. If you want to learn more about making your own baby food, click
HERE!

Magic Bullet-
If you're making your own baby food and don't already have a blender, check this one out. It's FABULOUS for quickly pureeing fresh baby food in large batches (using blender attachment) or single meal sizes (using the little cups), and only takes up as much counter space as a single coffee cup! We had ours for about 6 years I think before it died. With our second son we just used a regular ol' blender, but I did miss the ability to puree little amounts like I could in the bullet.

babyfood muffin cups
Silicone Muffin Cups- to freeze extra babyfood purees. I love my muffy cup method b/c I just dump the food in quickly & easily (no spooning into little ice cube tray compartments) and pop it out easily (the muffin cups peel right off). For more on my muffy cup method of making & freezing your own baby food, click here.

Rubbermaid Premier Food Storage Container products! They are AWESOME! They are freezer safe & microwave safe. I thawed the cubes in the fridge in the Rubbermaid Premier, and dished out of that. I like the Premier b/c it seals EASY and GREAT and you can label the food right on the lid with a fine tip dry erase marker, and it washes off clean in the dish washer. I got mine at Wal Mart.
